"Sekirei" is the name of a bird commonly found by the river outside the brewery. It's likened to the graceful flight of a wagtail skimming the surface of the Nishiki River in front of the brewery. Just as the Sekirei glides effortlessly, this sake fills the palate with elegant flavors, followed by a gentle and lingering finish. Its restrained elegance evokes a sense of tranquility, much like the serene flow of the river.

The journey of Yayoishin Sake Brewery, which began in the 10th year of the Meiji era (1877), has always been intertwined with the flow of this river. In front of the brewery, located by the riverside, there used to be a pier where boats docked, and the raw materials, rice, transported from upstream, were unloaded from a staircase-like pier called "Gangi." The riverside around the Gangi teems with various forms of life, truly representing a place where life flourishes. With the motto "Life is born at the riverside," we infuse each sake we make with heartfelt dedication, continuously crafting "life." And if the Gangi serves as the terminal on the water, our goal is to reach the "terminal of deliciousness."
