Nishida Brewery Company(Denshu)

Aomori

Located in Aomori, the northernmost point of Japan’s main island, Nishida Sake Brewery is the only sake brewery in Aomori City, founded in 1878. Their flagship product is "Denshu," which translates to "rice field sake." The former president launched this Junmai sake in 1974, driven by a desire to create a pure, traditional sake with no additives. At the time, Junmai sake was virtually unknown and didn’t sell at all. However, in 1981, it won first place in a magazine's "Delicious Sake Contest," gaining immense popularity, especially in Tokyo.
